Our Stocks

We use brand new, unadulterated KODAK VISION3 motion picture film stocks and offer it as still photography film.

With SILBERSALZ35, you will receive true, factory-fresh motion picture film.

Shooting

You can use any analog 35mm camera. We recommend overexposing by one stop.
For best results, your film should be stored in the fridge.

After shooting, please send in your exposed film for processing as soon as possible, to preserve the highest image quality. 

Processing

SILBERSALZ35 is designed to be processed in True Cinefilm ECN-2 chemistry only. Our tests results show dramatically decreased image quality when processed in C-41 chemistry. Also, please be aware that True Cinefilm can damage regular C-41 processing machines.
You can choose special development processes when sending in your film.Please keep in mind that every special development option (like Bleach Bypass or Push / Pull) always counts for a whole voucher (single or 4 film Voucher). 

Scanning

Your film is scanned with our stunning APOLLON.14K scanner. Your scans will be shared within two weeks after we receive your films. Download your photos or view them in your personal web gallery. You can choose between HIGH QUALITY (4K JPG) or FULL QUALITY (14K JPG + 14K JP2) scans.

We scan pictures up to a width of 20-perf. Thus, we can easily supply X-PAN scans and even more.

Negatives

You can order a return of your negatives right after we received your films for processing, or again after scanning. We will send you a reminder via e-mail. Your negatives will be stored with us for two months. If you choose not to order a negative return, your negatives will be safely destroyed after two months.

The secret behind the True Cinefilm look can be found in the processing chemistry. After intense testing we decided to use original Kodak ECN-2 KIT chemistry only. Your colours, especially skin colours will benefit immensely.
